Visit to Portland: Part 1, The Pumpkin Patch

We just got back last night from a wonderful trip to Portland to visit B's sister Kristin, her husband Chris and their two adorable children Oscar and Isla. We had SUCH a great time. It was really fun to watch our boys have so much fun with their cousins. It was also wonderful to visit with Kristin and Chris. We had so much fun and I took SO many pictures that this post is only Part One of our visit. On our first day there, we went to a really fun Pumpkin Patch on Sauvie Island.

Before we left the house, I put N in J's old Wonderful Wallaby (the first one I knit). He looked so adorable in it that I had to take a picture and share it here.
There was so much to do at the Sauvie Island Pumpkin Patch. Our first stop was the Animal Barn where J took this lovely picture of a sheep. There were also chickens, ducks, calves, a mini-donkey and a llama.

Our next stop was lunch. They had all kinds of delicious food options but we chose pulled-pork sandwiches for lunch and elephant ears for dessert. Yum! During lunch, we listened to some live music and N enjoyed getting comfy in Aunt Kristin's lap.
Next we checked out the pumpkins for sale. Oscar had fun climbing on them.

Then we made our way over to the pyramid of hay. Oscar climbed right up with Uncle Chris and Isla close behind.

J followed right after them. He didn't climb very high, but he was having a great time. Just look at this smile!

N followed close behind, but wasn't a big fan of the hay all over his sweater.

Our next stop was a free hayride. I took pictures of everyone. J and I. Cheese!

Aunt Kristin, Oscar, Uncle Chris and Isla.

B and N. I think N just saw a bird in this one. He loves birds and airplanes.

The hayride stopped out in the pumpkin patch where you could pick your own pumpkin.

Uncle Chris got this big one. I was impressed he could carry the pumpkin and Isla all at the same time.

So that was our first fun-filled day in Oregon. More fun and photos to come!
